Our word today that we worked on was "between." My soon to be sister-in-law is going to college for early childhood education and had to do a development study on a preschool aged child. She did it on my son after Easter dinner, he did awesome with the different tasks. He had trouble explaining to her and I what was between. He knew above, under, next to, and on top of; but not between. So today I took that opportunity to focus more on this word. We started by just practicing saying it. I love hearing him try to say a new word that he doesn't think he can say. After practicing to say it I started using it in context over and over and over! Later I asked him if he knew what "between" means. He knew it but when I asked about 4 items he didn't know which one was between. Yeah, yeah, this was kind of tricky but I wanted to test him. We then watched this video. He loved it and we watched it a lot and by the 3rd or 4th time we knew the song and were able to sing it with the video. We had so much fun doing this and I love teaching my children!
This is an old picture but G man was 7 weeks old at our college graduation. He was between us!!!!
