Last day!

Day 30: Today's focus is love!

Love is defined as a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person; a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for a parent, child, or friend.  As wonderfully worded as this definition is it still doesn't contain the emotion that love is.  I have learned through teaching and now through working on the Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children that love has many faces.  Love is a hardworking single mother doing anything to keep her family together, love is people surrounding children and teaching and loving them despite what they or others have done in the past, and love is a family.

During this 30 days I have had to change somethings about myself to be the mother that I want my children to have.  I plan on continuing to work on myself for my children.  One thing I plan to do is continue to grow in my relationship with the Lord.  This will help me to help my children grow spiritually.  Something that I have recently changed in this topic is that I use to do my bible study during nap time, I am now doing it while G man is awake so that he sees me doing it and knows how important I believe it to be.

Because of love I will continue to take breaks from "mommy hood."  It is important to have a little me time and a moment with adult conversation doesn't hurt!  The way I do this is some husband/wife talks after kids are in bed, LONG trips to Target (even if I only need one thing), and every now and again an evening out with no kids.  This will help me stay energized to keep up with them and will continue to strengthen our marriage.

Love lead me to do this blog challenge and now that I am on day 30 I feel more love then I ever thought.  I have had some wonderful adventures with my kids and can't wait to experience more adventures with them.  Thank you all for your support during this time and going on this journey with me!
