Day 26: Make it a point to encourage your child today.
One thing that I have been working on is to notice when G man does something good. I feel like I constantly let him know when he has done something bad but don't acknowledge when he has done something good. I have been more observant so that when he does do something good I try to over do it and draw attention to it.
Today is Easter and we had a wonderful time at church together. I was so overwhelmed when we walked outside this morning and some wonderful people had left candy filled eggs in our front yard. We live in a cottage that serves the needs of single mothers and their children and currently we have 5 children in our cottage besides my 2. When my husband, 2 kids, and I went into the front yard I was very surprised when G man said that he had enough eggs and he was done. I looked in his basket and he only had about 8 eggs. "Don't you want to get some more?" I asked. "Nah, my other friends need to get some too." My heart almost exploded!!!! My son had thought of others on his own without being hounded to do so!
Needless to say I made a BIG deal about it!! I am so proud of my little monster boy!
